Bear’s Barbershop is your neighborhood cornerstone barbershop. With a traditional old school barbershop feel, this is the place where you come to learn, laugh, watch sports, debate and develop lasting relationships all while getting your hair cut. It has now become the place to campaign for office, get news stories, find the next big sports talent, share parenting tips or stories and so many other things. Bear’s was established in March of 1970 by Larry “Bear” High. As an active service member of the Southside/Alton Park community, he wanted to create a place to serve where he grew up.
